Embracing innovation and achievements, Jindal Aluminium celebrated its 53rd Annual Day
Glorifying the legacy of over 50 years, Jindal Aluminium celebrated its 53rd annual day event on April 4th, 2023. More than 1200 employees from Bangalore corporate office attended the event. Bhiwadi and Dabaspet units’ employees joined the ceremony virtually, where it was streamed live. The ceremony began with a graceful devotional song presented by Ms. Padma (from HR team) in her soothing voice.
Sharing his vision and wisdom, Jindal Aluminium’s Chairman & Managing Director, Padma Bhushan Dr. Sitaram Jindal touched upon the organization’s growth story in the last year. He congratulated everyone on achieving production, profit, and performance numbers. In his speech, he mentioned the importance of having a conducive corporate culture that supports overall organizational growth and brings in employee loyalty. Additionally, he stressed delivering world-class products without compromising on quality. And he mentioned that the people’s spirit and strength drive the organization toward achieving milestones and, ultimately, success. But the organizational growth story is reflected and felt tangible through numbers. Progressing further, Jindal Aluminium’s Vice-chairman and Managing Director, Mr. Pragun Jindal Khaitan, in his address, highlighted some key target numbers which the organization has showcased in both extrusions and flat-rolled divisions and his roadmap for the years to come. With this, he underlines the great potential the company and its people have to grow. He appreciated the employees’ extravagant performance and encouraged them to continue sharing ideas or suggestions for consistent organizational growth.
Mr. Pragun pointed out how unity plays a quintessential role and how we at Jindal Aluminium, as one family, had tackled and won over the challenges in the past. He said, ‘I am very optimistic in utilizing the opportunities available in the marketplace, not just in India but at the global level too. We must grab this chance by controlling our manufacturing costs and should surpass the competition by creating world-class products’.
Additionally, Mr. Pragun attracted the audience’s focus on building efficiency, improvising manufacturing processes, and generating more value for the company. He reconciled with CMD’s thought of upgrading the technology and constantly investing in it to drive the company’s growth. With this, he outlined Jindal Aluminium’s vision of focusing on India but with a presence in the international market, competing with the best in the global aluminium extrusions market.
Also, he outweighed innovation over just building upon volumes in production. He unveiled the company’s ambitious targets for the next year in the extrusion and rolling divisions. Mr. Pragun expressed his trust in the teams and motivated them that next year again, he would be delivering his speech from the same platform with much more vigour announcing our teams’ stunning performances and setting yet another benchmark.
Furthermore, he passionately mentioned giving back to society and not just serving the market by focusing on production. He announced building best-in-class new schools and hospital facilities at Dabaspet to help the poorest of the poor sections of society. On the side-lines of this, Mr. Pragun also announced that in the coming 3 to 4 months, we have our Bhiwadi bhojnalaya (free food distribution) and dispensary to be operational in full swing. In his concluding remark, he summed up his vision towards moving from ‘good to better’ while wishing the team for the following year.
Later Mr. Naveen Mehta emphasized operational achievements and how we all have the potential to achieve more extraordinary tasks next year. Talking about the production breakdown across the units, he enthusiastically said that it had decreased drastically to minimal. In addition, he also informed that in the coming year, Jindal Aluminium is setting a target of zero breakdowns across all the units. Mr. Mehta consolidated the management’s vision of technology upgradation to ensure that our customers receive the best quality products. He announced promotions for the upcoming financial year 2023 to 2024, followed by prize distribution and handing-over increment enclosures.
In a nutshell, the 53rd annual day celebration boosted energy levels. It motivated the teams to focus diligently on Jindal Aluminium’s vision, surpassing the competition with the shared spirit of improving by setting new benchmarks and building inspiration further.
